DJ Blizzard aka BigBlizz started DJ'n back in 1998 for a local high school dance company in Vancouver and quickly became one Vancouver's top High School DJ's. DJ Blizzard specialized in Hip Hop & R&B but after a couple years of learning and fine-tuning his DJ and MC skills, he became a very versatile
DJ. In 2000 he jumped on one of the BIGGEST Wednesday nights in the City at Funky Planet in Surrey alongside well know DJ, DJ Supafly. Shortly after, DJ Blizzard locked down a Sunday night at Funky Planet and that became a hugely popular industry night called "Platinum Sundays".
In 2001 DJ Blizzard was one of the 4 Resident DJ's at a night called "The Remix" at Cheers in Surrey, BC. DJ Alibaba brought together Blizzard, Rexx & Remsta for one of the busiest and most popular Thursday nights anywhere in the city. Performances from Ashanti, Blu Cantrell, Shawn Desman & DJ Quik just to name a few.
In 2002 Blizzard & Supafly started a night Downtown at Luce and it quickly became the place to go on Fridays In Vancouver. Many celebrities and basketball players came through on a weekly basis.
DJ Blizzard held down 4 busy and popular nights a week for years in and around Vancouver which cemented his name in the Vancouver scene as one of the best DJ's in the city.
Some notable shows Blizzard has on his resume include opening for DJ Jazzy Jeff, Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, Young MC, SWV, Naughty By Nature to name a few.
The Club scene slowed down as new DJ's came onto the scene but Blizzard kept bust doing high school dances, Weddings and corporate parties to further add to his versatility.
Fast forward to 2020 Where DJ Blizzard aka BigBlizz has made a name for himself on TikTok where he started the #DontReactChallenge Its has become one of the longest running "trends" on TikTok and doesn't look like its slowing down. As of Feb 2021 he has over 300,000 followers and the #DontReactChallenge hashtag has over 130 million views.
